MultiTouch creates updates for the MultiTaction devices, with the goal of improving the tracking quality, and other improvements. The Cells include a self-update feature that can be accessed by selecting the "System" tab, and its "Update" button.

In this view, there is a "Check for updates" button. Pressing this button will cause the software to connect to the MultiTaction update server, and install the latest firmware version. If the network connection to the server cannot be made, then an error is shown on the screen.

The update process typically takes 20 minutes, but the time may vary depending on the speed of your network connection. During the update process the Cell may temporarily flicker and reboot, depending on the contents of the update.

Warning: Do not turn off the Cell while updating the firmware.
