Getting Cell information

Information about the Cell can be useful in determining which version of internal software the Cell is using. To view this information, one needs to select the "System" tab and activate the "About" item. In this view, some basic information about the Cell is shown, including the current version of the internal software, and the Ethernet MAC address of the Cell.

The MAC address can be useful for setting a fixed network address to the Cell from the DHCP server. This allows the Cell to operate in DHCP mode, while making it still available to the application PC over the same network address.

Note: Make sure that the Cell IP address does not fall into forbidden IP ranges.
