Geometry calibration

MultiTaction Cells utilize a camera matrix for tracking objects on the display surface. During transport and installation the physical positions of the cameras may move by some millimeters, which causes a need for recalibration of the geometrical alignments of the cameras. Usually finger tracking works even without geometry calibration, but for marker tracking it is often necessary.

Preparations

You will need one white calibration sheet which is big enough to cover the whole display. One calibration sheet is provided with the MultiTaction Cells as part of the packaging

Calibration process

It may be necessary to perform a recalibration of the Cell if there has been rough handling during transit. To perform calibration, you need to connect a keyboard to the display and switch to the on-screen display mode. In the on-screen display, you should activate the "Calibration" tab on the right hand-side. The actual calibration process is started by pressing the "Start auto-calibration" -button. After pressing the button you should put the white calibration sheet on top of the display and wait for three minutes for the calibration process to go through.

After performing the calibration process, the display beeps, to let the user know that the calibration is finished. After the calibration, you need to press the "Save" button to save the current geometry calibration.
